The Lavender Cottage originally a spice house “The Mistress of Spice” was an institution for over 12 years. Nurturing a devoted following of spice and curry lovers, it diversified to homewares, gifts and coffee which attracted a whole new local customer base and developed organically to become a popular local space to enjoy a chat and a laugh and endless warm smiles.

In 2020 the business was taken over by us…. Casie a long term employee and Annie a devoted customer. Together since then, we made the decision to rebrand the business to THE LAVENDER COTTAGE (TLC). Lavender being a representation of the purple of the original building, and also inspired by the beautiful jacaranda trees that flower in the neighbourhood in November. Cottage to encapsulate the essence of what our business essentially provides and that is a friendly space to visit for a bit of small talk, a great cup of coffee, heart-warming customer service and delicious small bites prepared by hand on the daily. Eat in or takeaway, we hope everyone thinks of TLC as somewhere to reset and catch a breath while escaping the home office or the hussle and bustle of life!
